pls am writting a project on sexually transmitted dieases in relation to the use of iud among women of childbearing age.

Hi,

Both men and women are susceptible to STD's. Any time a condom is not used there is a risk of getting a sexually transmitted disease. Women who use an IUD are at the same risk as women who use birth control pills or other types of birth control (except a male condom.)
