Yesterday, while Iowa Rep. Steve King was campaigning and explaining to voters that he had never heard of a 12-year-old rape victim needing an abortion, other anti-choice supporters were hitting the trail as well, explaining why King was such a "righteous" candidate for Congress.
Via Sioux City Journal:
"If you look up courage in the dictionary, you will see a picture of Steve King,” [former Congresswoman and SBA List spokeswoman Marylin] Musgrave said.
The bus tour on Monday also stopped in Mason City and Des Moines, where Lt. Gov. Kim Reynolds started a 40-minute news conference with a speech in support of King and his message.
“He is a man of conviction, he is a man of integrity and he is a man who is unafraid to stand up for the rights of the unborn and the sanctity of life,” she said. “We should not be afraid to stand up for somebody who stands up for the unborn.”
"Couragous" is the right word, if you mean willing to show a clear disregard for science, anatomy, and compassion when it comes to young girls who have been sexually assaulted. But considering SBA List is still standing behind Congressman Todd "rape victims can't get pregnant" Akin, enthusiastic support is not surprising.
